Claude Okanda Sakwe
Managing Partner
Claude is a Dual-qualified attorney in Rwanda and Cameroon. He leads the firm with extensive experience in corporate advisory, investment law, and dispute resolution. Skilled in both civil and common law, he advises on high-stakes business matters across Africa. His background spans arbitration, regulatory compliance, and cross-border legal strategy, ensuring practical, client-focused solutions.
Qualifications:
– Associate member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb-London).
– Member of the Kigali International Arbitration Center (KIAC), Rwanda.
– Diploma in Legal Practice (Institute of Legal Practice and Development Rwanda)
– LLM in Business Finance and Corporate Law.
Gwenelyne Sakwe (née Achu)
Partner
Dual-qualified in Nigeria and Cameroon, Gwenelyne leads the firm’s private equity and family law litigation practices. With over nine years of cross-border experience across Africa and the U.S. she advises on corporate law, venture capital, and institutional reform. A certified career coach and leadership development expert, she also heads the firm’s professional development programs. Her background includes roles in top firms in Nigeria, Cameroon, and the U.S., and she serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Law and Innovation in Kigali.
Qualifications:
– Diploma in Professional Leadership (DPL-Covenant University Nigeria).
– B.L Nigerian Law School.
– LLM Corporate Law (University of Cincinnati College of Law, Ohio-USA).
Mebienere Carole Aurelie
Executive Assistant
Carole is an experienced legal professional who brings a proactive and solutions-focused approach to her role as Executive Assistant. She holds an LLB in Law and a Certificate in Professional Leadership, which she leverages to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s legal and administrative functions. With a strong interest in business development and strategic communication, she plays a key role in supporting the firm’s legal operations and ensuring the highest standard of client service.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Carole leads the firm’s marketing initiatives and
manages its digital presence. She works closely with leadership to align brand messaging with
the firm’s strategic objectives, reinforcing its reputation for excellence and innovation in the
legal industry.

Meli Tikeng Garuis is a distinguished tax consultant, accountant, and financial strategist, with extensive expertise in business taxation, corporate finance, and audit services. With an MBA in Accounting, Audit, and Tax, Meli brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, offering trusted accounting and tax consultancy services to businesses, law firms, and professional organizations. He has provided tax and auditing services for companies like COFIP SOLUTIONS, ANG GUEST HOUSE, ATLANTIC VIEW COMPANY LIMITED, Madiba Consultants, MEDIPLUS SARL, and MyDryva Inc. Additionally, Meli collaborates with
Odoo S.A. Belgium, implementing advanced accounting software to optimize business operations and improve financial efficiency.
